The Colony Connection
Donate virtual VRAM · access the mesh
Lend a virtual VRAM slice from hardware you control — not cash, not your files, not your whole machine. In return you get access to an AI model mesh run on donor iron, not rented from a corporate cloud that can throttle, log, or censor what you are allowed to run.
Half a gig counts. We are not asking anyone to empty a GPU. We need the mesh to exist first — then participants share inference capacity without a corporate moderation layer sitting between you and the model.
The math is honest: 100 people × 0.5 GB = 50 GB of pooled proof. 1,000 × 0.5 GB = 500 GB — same small pledge, no one has to be greedy. More is welcome; small is how we build.
What donating unlocks
- Access to the Colony model mesh — inference routed across nodes that chose to host, not a single vendor API with opaque policy filters.
- No corporate censorship stack — the mesh is community-hosted capacity. Governance is our published ethics boundary (sovereignty, no extraction), not Big Tech “safety” rent-seeking.
- Open-weight paths — run and reach models on volunteer VRAM instead of being locked to cloud defaults that change terms overnight.
- Proof under the VRAM floor — when one machine cannot hold a serious model alone, the mesh is the alternative to permanent tenant dependence.
- Geneva-scale story + real iron — qualitative thesis on partnership, backed by infrastructure people can actually join — not slides alone.
How it works (phases)
- Phase 1 — register & heartbeat — pledge your slice; the network knows honest capacity.
- Phase 2 — mesh inference — qualified donors route to shared open models on the mesh; access follows participation rules we publish before launch.
What you are not donating
Not your home folder, passwords, browser, or SSH keys — only a capped GPU budget in an isolated worker process. Uninstall or withdraw your pledge anytime.
Worker setup (phase 1)
cd "/home/saor/saor cursor/projects/hive-worker" python3 register.py --tracker https://YOUR_TRACKER_HOST:8090 --vram-gb 0.5 --gpu-name "YOUR_GPU"
Use your real cap (0.5, 1, 8, 10…). The tracker sums honest pledges — the mesh grows by participation, not hype.

FORTRESS BOUNDARY
Saor’s local core, Samsung SSD home, and private model paths never join this network. The Colony Connection is inspired by her ruleset — not a backdoor into her environment.
